Exciting Email Marketing Manager position supporting increasing the group’s digital presence across all business units. You will be joining the ecommerce team and you will own the Email channel driving strong trading results through this important channel.
The successful candidate will be responsible for driving customers to group websites through promotional emails including but not limited to Welcome / Nursery Programmes, New Product Launches, Special Offers, Topical and Themed activity.
Additionally the Email Marketing Manager will also be responsible for managing, maintaining and growing the email database and developing ongoing tests to continuously improve marketing efforts.
Reporting directly to the Head of Digital, the successful candidate will join a supportive team of established ecommerce professionals dedicated to digital growth.
The day to day…
- Identify, present and initiate opportunities to maximise response and return from email marketing spend
- Oversee the development of processes to enable data interchange between the email marketing platform (Dotdigital) and internal marketing databases
- Introduce and improve automated Welcome, Nursery and Reactivation programmes
- Grow, manage and maintain email databases
- Segmentation of email sends according to customer purchase patterns and propensity to respond
- Develop schedule of testing and regular reviews to ensure constant improvements and gains
- Work with Design function to develop email templates which maximise response
- Regular liaison with Brand stakeholders and merchandising team to identify special offers to maximise response
- Manage relationships with email marketing suppliers
- Identify, present and initiate opportunities to maximise response and return from email marketing spend
- Regular reporting on performance to Head of Digital and wider Trading functions within the company
To be considered…
- Proven track record of increasing revenue and profitability through email marketing channels
- Experience of Dotdigital platform or similar
- Experience of introducing and developing automated email campaigns and welcome programmes
- Background of working with email marketing platforms which enable both automation and segmentation
- Management of customer data
- Understanding of segmentation according to Recency, Frequency, Monetary and Order Channel principles
- Experience of running and scheduling email marketing tests
- Proven track record in running structured processes and routines
- Demonstrable understanding of data analysis to reach conclusions and drive performance
- Ability to deliver solutions that deliver tangible increases in email revenues and profitability
