Job Purpose

Working within a high performing digital marketing team and we are looking to attract a talented Data Analyst with a strong background in analysing data from various sources, with a focus on Google Analytics, A/B Testing, MS Clarity or equivalent and Google Paid Advertising platforms.
The Data Analyst will be responsible for gathering, analysing, and interpreting large datasets to provide valuable insights and recommendations to optimize both digital online presence and digital marketing strategies.
This role requires an expert level of understanding of Google Analytics, Google Ads, Hotjar / MS Clarity or equivalent and other related tools to create meaningful reports, track key performance indicators, and enhance overall business performance.
As the business continues to scale at pace, this role provides significant opportunity for development at progression in a highly commercial environment.
Principle Accountabilities
Google Analytics Reporting
- Utilize Google Analytics to track website traffic, user behaviour, and other relevant metrics.
- Generate regular reports on website performance, user engagement, and conversion rates.
- Analyse data to identify trends, patterns, areas for improvement in UX and website functionality.
- Utilise analytics and data to influence the priorities and sprint cycles of the CRO and UX roadmap
- Provide insights on customer behaviour, traffic sources, and campaign effectiveness.
- Work with marketing / trading teams to implement tracking solutions and enhance accuracy.
A/B Testing Reporting
- Manage and analyse all test data, work with digital team to help outline the testing roadmap.
- Create detailed reports on performance of each test and provide data insights into data driven recommendations for launching the winning test.
Google Paid Advertising Reporting
- Manage and analyse data from Google Ads campaigns, including search, display, and video ads.
- Create detailed reports on ad spend, ROI, and campaign effectiveness.
- Provide recommendations to improve ad performance and achieve business goals.
Data Analysis and Interpretation
- Clean, transform, and analyse complex datasets to extract valuable insights.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and visualizations to present data-driven insights
- Identify patterns, trends, and anomalies in data to inform strategic decisions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business objectives and align analytical efforts accordingly.
Continuous Improvement
- Stay updated with industry trends, tools, and best practices related to data analysis, Google Analytics, and Google Ads.
- Recommend process improvements, tools to enhance data collection, analysis, reporting
Skills and Experience:
- Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, Python, or R.
- Knowledge of platforms such as Hotjar, MS Clarity, Content Square are a prerequisite for at least one insight platform.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving skills, attention to detail, strength in commercial awareness.
- Experience working with Google Analytics essential and Google Ads platforms an advantage.
- Excellent communication skills, convey complex findings in a clear and understandable manner.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment, managing multiple tasks and priorities.
Desirable
- Hands on experience with Google Tag Manager
- Experience working with offline conversion tracking and/or call tracking solutions such as Infinity.
